Daisy Marguerite Hughes was born and raised in Los Angeles. She studied with I.E. Garden Macleod at the LA school of Art and Design, at the University of California and with the Art Students League in New York City. She also painted with Ralph Johonnot, C. P. Townsley, and Rudolph Schaeffer. |
