"Dawn is the best time in Provincetown. it's usually calm with hardly any wind. You
can almost hear the fish swimming in the bay. Only a few people are around and they
know not to come up to you when youre painting. Another time of the day, maybe they
would, and you'd welcome them, but dawn is for me and no one else. When I first set
up my easel, I can hardly see the canvas and colors. I start to painting. When my
eyes are squinting from the bright light coming across the bay, it's over. Time to go to
breakfast." - |
